I’ve been feeling meatballs lately. I mean, what’s not to love about flavorful little balls of meat that have simmered in some delicious sauce? But I wanted to switch it up from basic Italian and head north. In my past life, I was a Scandi girl–I love Scandinavian design and the philosophies behind “lagom” or “hygge,” so I was sure to love their meatballs. This meatball hunt sent me in two directions, for meatballs two ways–Swedish and Danish! First up, a Swedish Meatballs recipe from A Farmgirl’s Dabbles. Check out the details below and the following post for the Danish version!
Rating: A-
How to make it an A+: While lingonberry jam is always nice, I craved a little extra sweetness right in the recipe. I would consider simmering some dried cranberries into the sauce. Sprinkle allover with salt and pepper to serve. Enjoy!
