My weekly salmon fillet was paired with Ina Garten’s Sautéed Shredded Brussels Sprouts and this made me extremely happy for two reasons. One, I got to break out my giant Breville food processor to shred a large amount of sprouts in seconds, which is just very therapeutic. And, two, the recipe is just so simple and delicious. Perfect for when you’re trying to get in a super-quick, healthy, weeknight meal!
How to make it an A+: This rating is appreciating it for what it is. It’s a basic, flavorful side dish that takes no time at all. Of course, I could really get crazy, sautéing the sprouts in bacon grease, after crisping some up to crumble overtop, or including dried cherries, toasted walnuts, blue cheese…whatever. But again, sometimes we just need to appreciate the simple things in life!
