Martha Stewart’s Basic Sugar Cookies are my go-to for a holiday favorite, or, in this case, a rainy morning treat. The recipe is simple and the cookies come out perfectly cooked–chewy, sweet, and ready to decorate! I dabble in all sorts of decorations–thick cream cheese frosting, hardened icing, Christmas shapes galore, and I am never left disappointed with Martha’s sugar cookie foundation.
How to make it an A+: No change needed! Today I decorated with a milk-based icing and sprinkled a little toasted coconut overtop before it hardened. Enjoy!
